Scan To Print Bates Stamping Solution
6/8/2005
At Canon's booth at On Demand,
Ribstone introduced its MEAP Scan To Print application, a version
of its software solution that can run directly on MEAP-enabled
imageRUNNER devices. The MEAP Scan To Print application is an
easy-to-use, kiosk-based application for the simultaneous creation
of paginated (Bates Numbered) photocopies and electronic files
for corporate legal departments and law firms. Utilizing the
Scan To Print solution, operators are able to scan, print, Bates
Number, and create data files with just one pass of an original
document from an imageRUNNER device. Ribstone's Image Printer,
Capture System, and Scan Express applications are the other
products scheduled to utilize MEAP, under a previous agreement,
and will be available later this year.
Ribstone's MEAP Scan To Print for text placement
options,
multiple lines of text, pull down menu for commonly used text,
and multiple fonts/sizes/effects will allow users to customize
the Bates numbering output to meet the particular archiving
and labeling requirements of the legal environment. Additionally,
RSM will have the easiest interface for inserting pages in the
middle of a scan group by supporting alpha & numeric suffix
sequencing. Ribstone's MEAP Scan To Print is currently positioned
to service law firms, facility management companies, and
out-of-house service bureaus of all sizes. The solution serves
as a practical application for segment four through segment
six digital copier-based MFP devices. They are aimed at placements
on convenience copiers or in-house copy center machines. view
